Our experience in the design of educational facilities spans the entire range of the education spectrum, from grade schools to college projects, plus vocational and administrative work. Fundamental criteria for these projects include functionality and maintainability, in order to produce buildings that deliver high value for the educational dollars being spent. Our firm specializes in helping the educational community meet its needs for practical design that supports the educational process, facilitates administrative needs, and meets the owner's requirements for economic value and expandability.

Harris and Associates and its predecessor firm of Dampier-Harris and Associates have provided complete architectural services on more than 100 educational projects for fourteen different school systems and four colleges. This includes ten projects for both Jefferson and Blount County School Systems and more than thirty projects for the Vestavia Hills Board of Education. Services for these projects included schematic design, preliminary design, construction documents (plans and specifications), bidding, and contract administration.
